Resumen:
Ultra Magnus' shuttle crash-lands on the planet of Junk. After regaining their bearings, the Autobots prepare to make repairs, and Daniel Witwicky tries out his father's exo-suit. While the Autobots begin their work, they are spied upon by the Wreck-Gar and the Junkions. The Junkions prepare to attack the Autobots, but are interrupted as the Decepticons arrive.
A fight breaks out; the shuttle is destroyed, and the Autobots are scattered. Galvatron soon confronts Ultra Magnus and demands the Autobot Matrix of Leadership. Magnus refuses to hand it over, but cannot open the Matrix to use its power. Galvatron orders the Sweeps to quarter Magnus -- they fire beams to ensnare his limbs and pull him apart until he shatters. Galvatron takes the Matrix and leaves.
As the other Autobots grieve for Ultra Magnus, the Junkions prepare to attack once more -- but are interrupted (again) as a Quintesson ship lands, releasing Hot Rod, Kup, and the Dinobots. Seeing the Junkions, Hot Rod greets them with the universal greeting, and wins their friendship with "energon goodies." Wreck-Gar explains that his tribe "talks TV," and the Junkions quickly repair Ultra Magnus. After the Autobots brief Magnus, the Junkions agree to help them destroy Unicron. At Wreck-Gar's command, giant rocket boosters emerge from the planet's surface, and the converted world-ship flies toward Cybertron.
In Cybertron space, Galvatron threatens Unicron with the Matrix, but cannot open it to carry out his threat. Nonplussed, Unicron transforms to his robot form, swallows Galvatron (and the Matrix), and then attacks Cybertron itself. Shockwave leads the Decepticons against Unicron, but to no effect.
The Junkions and the Quintesson ship arrive and join in the attack. Unicron blasts the Quintesson ship in half, and part of it crashes through his eye. As the other Autobots fall into the depths of Unicron, Hot Rod lands on a ledge and is separated from them. He soon finds Galvatron and the Matrix, whereupon Galvatron follows Unicron's orders and attacks.
Galvatron easily conquers Hot Rod; but just as Hot Rod is on the verge of defeat, he seizes the Matrix and is remade into the new Autobot leader, Rodimus Prime. Rodimus quickly overpowers Galvatron and tosses him through Unicron's hull, then opens the Matrix. The brilliant energies of the Matrix flood through Unicron, doing incredible damage throughout. Rodimus quickly finds the other Autobots, and they flee through Unicron's other eye just before he explodes.
Later, after the Autobots have routed the Decepticons and restored order, Rodimus unites the Autobots on Cybertron and declares a new age of peace and happiness.
