Resumen:

On Cybertron, Emirate Xaaron (channeling Primus) tells a massive assembly of Autobots, Decepticons, and humans the origins of Unicron and Primus. Xaaron/Primus names Optimus Prime as the leader of the united Transformers force against Unicron. While Optimus worries that Xaaron's personality is being subverted, an unnamed Autobot sneaks away from the crowd.

Meanwhile, Grimlock and the Dinobots have returned to the Ark, which was left in orbit over Earth and is now abandoned. Grimlock wonders where everyone went, while his hand begins to stiffen. Snarl detects one Transformer life-sign on Earth, but in two pieces, while Swoop figures out how to fly the Ark. As they head for Cybertron, Grimlock orders Slag and Sludge to pump Nucleon into the Autobots' stasis chambers ... unaware that Megatron is one of the occupants.

On Cybertron, Optimus checks up on the Neo-Knights; Circuit Breaker's mind has siezed up from shock, and G.B. Blackrock says that his team is not qualified to battle Unicron, which Optimus agrees. But before he ask Xaaron/Primus to send the humans home, Xaaron disappears, causing Optimus to question his faith. Elsewhere, a secret group of mechanoids put on Unicron masks and swear to kill Optimus.

While Shockwave recovers from his injuries, Starscream issues thinly-veiled threats to Scorponok's leadership. Scorponok draws Optimus away for a private discussion, where he confesses that he is afraid of dying in the impending battle. Optimus shares his own doubts -- that he is disturbed by how Primus appears to treat them all as disposable forces -- but vows to meet his end courageously, as a Transformer should.

They are suddenly ambushed by Unicron's masked acolytes, who quickly ignore Scorponok and attack Optimus with superior numbers. Though Scorponok considers abandoning Optimus, he does not, and quickly jumps into the fray. Atop a nearby wall, Galvatron stops a grenade-dropping acolyte, then fires a flare to summon help.

Elsewhere, the Creation Matrix has finally finished repairing Thunderwing's shattered body. They head off into space, racing for Cybertron with dreams of revenge...

Working together, the Autobots and the Decepticons quickly subdue Unicron's acolytes. Optimus stops Scorponok from killing a helpless acolyte, theorizing that he was a victim of mind-control and does not deserve to die needlessly. Xaaron/Primus appears and confirms the theory, then reveals that Optimus was named as the leader in order to draw them out. Optimus grows angrier at Primus' manipulations, then suddenly doubles over in pain again (see issue #69).

While the others tend to Optimus, Kup points to the horizon -- where Unicron stands poised over Cybertron, ready to strike...
