Resumen:

In a moment heavy with regret and irony, Optimus Prime formally surrenders himself and the Autobots to Scorponok in New Jersey. The Decepticons disarm the Autobots with unbridled glee, and Kup nearly starts a riot out of anger. Optimus reminds Scorponok that the Transformers must unite against Unicron, and Scorponok dismisses him with a promise to talk later. After Optimus is escorted away, Scorponok wonders whether he should simply betray Prime to secure the loyalty of the Decepticons.

In an undersea base near England, Shockwave and Starscream assemble their team of rebellious Decepticons. Shockwave explains that the Autobots' surrender has changed their plans, and they must attack the Decepticons now. Mindwipe, still uncertain, wants answers about the mysterious reappearance of Shockwave and his followers. Starscream silences him with a death threat, and Shockwave orders an immediate attack.

While Optimus Prime frets in his cell, the Autobase on Cybertron is attacked by Galvatron and his forces, Hook, Line, and Sinker. Emirate Xaaron, who must be protected at all costs, is reluctantly sent away; Galvatron takes pleasure in terrorizing the Autobots, even as he vows revenge on Unicron.

Out of patience, Optimus Prime ambushes Soundwave, escapes from his cell, and frees Hot Rod and Kup. Kup, still angry over the Autobots' surrender, is hesitant to follow Optimus again. Optimus explains that the threat of Unicron takes precedence over the Autobot-Decepticon war, and pleads Kup to trust him.

In the Decepticon base's control center, Lord Zarak and Bludgeon are tracking some rapidly-approaching objects when Hot Rod and Kup ambushes them. Bludgeon is knocked out, but Zarak and the Autobots are caught in a standoff. Optimus orders the Autobots to stop, then confronts Zarak for a commitment to their alliance. Supressing his fears of a Decepticon mutiny, Lord Zarak/Scorponok agrees -- just before a blast from Shockwave levels the base.

In the subterranean tunnels of Cybertron, Emirate Xaaron runs for his life as Galvatron follows...
