Resumen:
As the Ark returns to Earth, the Autobots take the opportunity to rest and relax ... except for Grimlock, who is angrily destroying his quarters. When Waverider asks what's wrong, Grimlock explains that he is shamed at being beaten by Thunderwing (in issue #65). Grimlock exits with a vow to revive the Dinobots, leaving Waverider to wonder if he should report the incident.
Elsewhere on the Ark, Optimus Prime worries that the Autobots' jubuliant state means they are dismissing the danger of Unicron. After fighting off a burst of pain in his abdomen, Optimus visits Nightbeat, who is investigating Ratchet's death (from issue #59). Nightbeat's theory is that Ratchet did not die, but was instead tossed into the trans-time dimensional portal. If so, then Ratchet might still be alive, adrift in the unspace between realities. Though it's all but impossible, Nightbeat tries anyway, sending a dimensional probe to search unspace.
In deep space, Unicron greets Galvatron, who has been brought back by Hook, Line, and Sinker (from issue #67). Unicron orders Galvatron to take Hook, Line, and Sinker to Cybertron, then wreak havoc among the Autobots. Without any alternatives, Galvatron agrees, but plots against Unicron.
Back on the Ark, Grimlock is removing the Dinobots from their life-support stasis pods when he is interrupted by Kup. Grimlock tries to convince Kup to let him go; when Kup refuses to cooperate, Grimlock sucker-punches him, then leaves with the comatose Dinobots.
Waverider tries to tell Optimus Prime about Grimlock's rampage, but is delayed while Optimus makes an announcement. Optimus explains that, with the Creation Matrix destroyed, the only way left for the Transformers to stop Unicron is if they are united as one force. To accomplish that, the Autobots will surrender to the Decepticons once they reach Earth.
On Earth, Mindwipe and Triggerhappy have deserted the Decepticons because of frustration at Scorponok's leadership. They are quickly found by Starscream, Shockwave, and Ravage -- who were thought to be dead. Starscream explains that they're recruiting Decepticons to overthrow Scorponok...
At the Ark, Grimlock hijacks one of the shuttles and leaves. Optimus explains that Grimlock had heard about the discovery of a new energy called Nucleon, which is supposed to cure and rejuvenate mechanoids. Unfortunately, the first three subjects also became insane after ingesting Nucleon, so Optimus decided not to use it on the Autobots.
Just then, the air crackles as Nightbeat's dimensional probe returns. The Autobots gape in horror at what it has retrieved -- a monstrous fusion of Ratchet and Megatron...
