Resumen:
In the Decepticons' island base (after the closure of Club 'Con from last issue), Buster Witwicky finds himself lost in a strange alien forest, where bizarre mechanical plants shoot lasers at him with no effect. The forest vanishes when Ratbat declares that the Realvision installation -- a three-dimensional sensory simulator -- is successful. Buster is taken back to his cell at the Decepticon base while Starscream and Ratbat prepare to view the records stored in Raindance and Grand Slam.
The Realvision playback starts from the earliest days of the Cybertronian war. Optimus Prime, Backstreet, Dogfight, and Override visit a robot called Boltax; they hope his vast database of knowledge will allow them to stop the war, even though their journey is a direct violation of a sacred neutrality agreement. Eluding a series of traps, the Autobots reach Boltax's Temple of Knowledge, a mountain topped with vents of flame. Unknown to them, Megatron, Crankcase, Ruckus, and Windsweeper are watching from nearby. Boltax's disciples urge the Autobots to leave, but Optimus Prime refuses; the guards eventually allow him to enter, though the Triggerbots remain behind.
Meanwhile, in his cell, Buster decides that he must also learn what is on the Autobot cassettes. He escapes through a ventilation duct, eludes a series of motion-responsive capture cables, then reaches the chamber and watches...
In the playback, the Decepticons attack the temple while Optimus Prime meets Boltax. Boltax reveals the Underbase, the ultimate accumulation of all Transformers' knowledge. Agreeing with Optimus Prime's cause, Boltax leads him to a chamber, where Prime begins to access the Underbase's contents.
The Decepticons suddenly charge in and destroy Boltax. Prime explains that the robot was just a drone; Boltax is the mountain itself, serving as a vessel for the Underbase. Prime then warns Megatron not to covet the Underbase, since the knowledge is too much for one being, and leads to madness and death. Ignoring him, the Decepticons fire on Optimus and knock him down. While Megatron revels, the badly-wounded Prime staggers away.
Not wanting the Decepticons to capture the Underbase but unwilling to destroy it, Prime shuts off the mountain's flame vents. This causes an energy buildup that causes the Underbase to be erupted into space. While Megatron vows to capture the Underbase, Prime is shamed that his pride caused Cybertron's greatest treasure to be lost. The playback ends, and Ratbat notes that Optimus' victory built his reputation as a great leader. Soundwave then explains that Grand Slam and Raindance were sent because the Underbase would soon be passing through Earth's solar system.
Hearing enough, Buster tries to escape, but runs into a wall that he thought was a Realvision illusion. He is re-captured by the Deceptions, who ominously remind him that too much knowledge can lead to madness or death...
