Resumen:
At the Intelligence and Information Institute headquarters in the Cascade Ranges, Forrest Forsythe, head of Triple-I, is furious at a growing number of Decepticon raids. Walter Barnett interrogates the Throttlebots (captured in issue #32), but they know nothing. While Barnett believes their innocence, Forsythe thinks all Transformers are allies, and warns on television that the Throttlebots will be destroyed if the attacks continue. Sure enough, the Decepticons attack again, and Forsythe schedules a broadcast of the Throttlebots' destruction for tomorrow night.
The next evening, while Triple-I crushes the Throttlebots on television, Walter Barnett leaves with six radio-controlled cars in his briefcase. Once clear, he reveals that he had transferred the Throttlebot's brain modules (each the size of a pea) into the cars, a plan inspired by his son's toys. After thanking Barnett for saving them, Goldbug recommends they find Buster Witwicky.
At the Witwicky garage in Portland, Oregon, Sparkplug tells Buster that his older brother Spike will be returning from college soon. This fails to cheer up Buster, who thinks one of the destroyed Throttlebots was his friend Bumblebee.
Meanwhile, the Predacons attack Triple-I and reach the room where the Throttlebots were destroyed. Ratbat explains to Forsythe that they want to examine the corpses, and Razorclaw shreds a mashed cube to confirm it was a Throttlebot. But Ratbat notices the brains are missing; following the scent of the brains' fuel, Ratbat leads the Predacons away, while Forsythe realizes Barnett was right.
The next morning, Barnett arrives at the Witwicky garage with the Throttlebots. Buster and Sparkplug are pleased to learn the Autobots are alive, and Goldbug recruits Buster to take them to the Ark. As they leave in Buster's truck, Goldbug is getting weak, and Barnett suggests they get some new batteries. Meanwhile, the Predacons arrive at the garage and ask where the Autobots are; when Sparkplug refuses to help, they attack...
Barnett and Buster are shopping for batteries at a mall when the Decepticons attack. The toy-sized Throttlebots evade the Predacons, but Goldbug's batteries are dangerously low. Ratbat recognizes Buster as the human who ruined his mind-control experiment (in issue #31). Barnett stops Ratbat with a security gate, then yells for Buster to escape. Buster reaches the immobile Goldbug instead; after fumbling with his ghetto blaster, Buster exchanges Goldbug's battery, then jumps in his truck and drives off.
Buster and Goldbug reaches Mt. St. Hillary, but are surprised that the Ark is gone. The cave is filled with leftover machinery, and Goldbug uses an Intergalactic Transceiver to send an emergency message. Just as he finishes, Ratbat -- who hid in Buster's ghetto blaster during the mall chase -- attacks. Easily crushing Goldbug's toy body, Ratbat turns on Buster...
