Resumen:
At Portland International Airport, the Mechanic and his assistant Juan use the Autobots' power booster rod (stolen in issue #26) to steal a radar dish. In response, detective Greco of the Portland Police Department stakes out the Mechanic's garage, but with no luck. Hiding nearby, Goldbug and Blaster also fail in their stakeout, and return to the Ark. An angry "King Grimlock" (complete with crown) yells at them for their failure -- the Mechanic must be punished, and the stolen Autobot equipment must be recovered.
The Portland police wonder if the Mechanic is working with the giant robots that are rumored to be in the area. They then plan an ambush to capture the Mechanic by using the delivery of an advanced computer as bait. Meanwhile, in an abandoned factory, the Mechanic has set up a shop where he "enhances" cars with weapons and armor for criminals. When he uses the Autobots' power booster bar to throw out an unhappy customer, the Autobots detect the signal, and Goldbug and Blaster are sent off to capture him.
As expected, the Mechanic hijacks the truck with the computer shipment. The police and the Autobots try to capture him, but turn on each other. In the confusion of the battle, the Mechanic escapes.
The Autobots follow the Mechanic to his factory, where Goldbug scouts ahead. He learns that the Mechanic is ready to deliver a dozen armed cars to his first customers. To prevent the police from raiding the factory and getting killed, Blaster reveals his presence to them. After a brief standoff, Blaster and Greko decide to cooperate. Greco and Blaster sneak into the plant; Blaster disables the cars, allowing the police to rush in and capture the crooks. Juan is captured, but the Mechanic escapes.
After the raid, the Autobots make their peace with the police. Realizing that Grimlock will be angry with them if they return to the Ark without the Mechanic, Goldbug and Blaster decide instead to defect, and drive off into the sunset.
