Resumen:

At the Decepticons' mine base in Wyoming, Soundwave and Shockwave make plans to take the hydrothermocline to an uninhabited island off the Florida coast. Megatron is oblivious to all this; he's been brooding since the death of Optimus Prime (last issue), and goes from quiet sulking to violent rampages for no reason. Shockwave suggests that Prime's death might have been computer-simulated, and an enraged Megatron orders all of the Decepticons to leave for Florida immediately. As the other Decepticons leave, Shockwave calls Cybertron. He contacts the Predacons, then delivers a computer disk to Razorclaw, containing a hunting contract.

The Predacons disguise themselves as Autobots (by changing their sigils), then take the space bridge to the Florida everglades. There, while Megatron waits for a ride to the Decepticons' new island base, the Predacons attack. Despite his precarious mental state and the strength of Predaking, Megatron eventually defeats them, even without Shockwave's offer of help. His single-handed victory convinces Megatron that Optimus Prime is, indeed, dead.

Soundwave then searches the Predacons, and discovers the disc that contains the hunting contract from Shockwave. Before Megatron can kill Shockwave for treason, Shockwave reveals that part of his personality was on the disc, and that he was actually controlling the Predacons during the fight. This comment reminds Megatron that Optimus Prime's character was saved to a computer disk by Ethan Zachary (last issue), and that Optimus might live after all.

Megatron goes berserk; standing on the space bridge, he destroys it, and both the bridge and Megatron disappear in a bright implosion. The Decepticons conclude they were both destroyed, and Shockwave takes control.
