Resumen:
Ricky Vasquez, the Assistant Chief Engineer at Hoover Dam, is saying goodbye to his family when he is bitten by an insect. After promising his daughter Maria that he'll take her to the July 4th fireworks show later that day, he heads for work. Unfortunately, by then, Bombshell's cerebro-shell takes over; the Insecticon makes the human drive to a quarry, where they pick up Megatron, Kickback, and Sharpnel. Arriving at Hoover Dam, Ricky (with Megatron) quickly takes over the control room and orders the dam turned off.
At the Ark, Optimus Prime is being treated by Ratchet, while Donny Finkleberg delivers his news about the Autobots arriving from Cybertron (following the events in issue #18). Optimus sends Jetfire to go with Donny and check out the claim. Bumblebee then reports about the crisis at Hoover Dam, and Optimus concludes Megatron is responsible. He orders the newly-built Aerialbots to stop the Decepticons, even though Silverbolt is the only Aerialbot with a complete personality program.
Back at Hoover Dam, Ricky's wife and daughter arrive just in time to see the Cybertron space bridge materialize in front of the dam. After Ramjet, Dirge, and Thrust arrive and secure the area, a massive pipe-and-drill appears and starts to bore through the dam. The Aerialbots arrive and fight the Decepticon jets and the Insecticons. The Aerialbots combine to form Superion and stop the drill, but are threatened by Megatron and the mind-controlled Ricky. Superion's attempt to crush the human is stopped when Silverbolt forces the Aerialbots to separate, then Megatron orders Ricky to shoot Silverbolt instead. But with his daughter pleading nearby, Ricky overrides the cerebro-shell and uses Megatron to destroy the drill, sending the space bridge back to Cybertron. The Decepticons and Aerialbots leave, but not before Bombshell sneaks a ride on Silverbolt's wing.
Meanwhile, Donny and Jetfire investigate the Columbia River Gorge, where the space bridge first appeared. Jetfire finds traces of Transformers fuel, and accepts it as proof that Autobots from Cybertron did arrive. It is later revealed that the Autobots were captured by a group called RAAT (Rapid Anti-Robot Assault Team), who have taken them to New Jersey. While the deactivated robots are disassembled and studied, their faces are mounted on a wall as trophies for RAAT's leader -- Circuit Breaker.

Hay un error cuando Donny Finkleberg informa a los Autobots sobre el puente espacial y dice que siete Autobots han llegado de Cybertron. En el número 19, los Decepticons descubren a los Autobots que han cruzado el puente cuando llegan al lugar y Megatron descubre el error. En ese momento no está en contacto por radio con los Decepticons de la mina de carbón, y poco después Donny escapa de los Decepticons. Por tanto Donny no puede saber que han llegado siete Autobots y no Decepticons.
Hay otro error cuando Jetfire hace una referencia a sus experiencias en Cybertron. ĄPero si él ha sido construido en la Tierra y nunca ha viajado hasta Cybertron!
Esta historia claramente establece que Megatron no puede dispararse a sí mismo cuando está en modo arma, necesita que alguien pulse el gatillo. Vaya limitación para quién quiere ser un conquistador. En cambio Shockwave no posee esa limitación.
