Resumen:
At the Ark, Optimus Prime conducts the Rite of the Autobrand and accepts Jetfire into the ranks of the Autobots. They then go to see Wheeljack, who uses crystal engrams to restore the memories of five Autobots (Grapple, Hoist, Smokescreen, Skids, and Tracks) into new bodies. While Grapple remains to talk to Optimus, Bumblebee takes the others on a tour of Earth.
Meanwhile, on an aircraft carrier off the Oregon coast, G.B. Blackrock and a federal agent named Walter Barnett study the oil-drilling platform that was annexed by the Decepticons (in issue #6). Dodging the humans' attack, Shockwave delivers a power siphon to the other Decepticons there. They quickly convert the platform's oil supply into energon cubes, then abandon the platform and depart.
Back in Oregon, Bumblebee teaches the newly-revived Autobots about their new arrangement with Blackrock. Their vehicle forms are equipped with mannequin "drivers" and fuel converters; by using Blackrock expense accounts at Blackrock's gas stations, they can get fuel without arousing suspicion. After a quick demonstration of this process, Bumblebee in contacted by Optimus, who reports that the Decepticons are planning to steal sonic energy from somewhere in their area. The Autobots conclude that a rock concert is the likely target, and they head out to investigate.
Eluding the stadium security guards, the Autobots gate-crash the concert and hide in the parking lot, where they listen to the concert. When the music starts to sound dampened, they investigate backstage, and find a strange device hanging over the stage. A cable for the device leads underground; when the Autobots cut the cable, the Decepticon jets fly out and attack. While the other Autobots fight the Decepticons, Bumblebee finds Shockwave beneath the stadium with the power siphon (now destroyed) and a cache of energon cubes. Shockwave, angry at the destruction of the siphon, flies over the stadium and prepares to kill the humans. Bumblebee throws a cube that intercepts his shot, and the resulting blast knocks the Decepticons away. The Autobots then quickly retreat.
