Resumen:
At the Blackrock aerospace plant in Portland, Shockwave has finally assembled all of the components of his current scheme. Using Optimus Prime's Creation Matrix and the factory's machinery, six new Decepticons -- the Constructicons -- are built and infused with life. Shockwave then prepares them to go out on an unspecified mission.
Meanwhile, G.B. Blackrock visits the Ark, and is awed by the advanced Cybertronian technology. While Huffer tries to make radio contact with Cybertron, Prowl talks about their plans to rescue Optimus' head. Bumblebee then reports from the aerospace plant: the Decepticons have just distracted the soldiers surrounding the plant, and Soundwave and the Constructicons have escaped in the confusion. Prowl sends the Autobots to follow, while Shockwave prepares to create his next Decepticon -- a large robot airplane called Jetfire.
Finally released from the hospital, Sparkplug Witwicky returns home, and is pleasantly surprised that Buster has repaired all of the cars in the garage while he was gone. Though Sparkplug marvels as his son's skills, Buster does not tell him that he did the repairs with his new machine-manipulating powers.
En route to Idaho, the Constructicons steal a number of 18-wheel tractor-trailers, including the rig of a driver named Bomber Bill. Bill futilely tries to chase them, but runs into the Autobots instead, and hitches a ride with Huffer. The Autobots soon reach an isolated part of the countryside, where the Constructicons have built a giant radio transmission dish. When the Autobots attack, the Constructicons combine to form a giant robot called Devastator to battle them.
Despite his sluggish thinking, Devastator fends off most of the Autobots. Huffer manages to reach the dish, but hesitates to destroy it, because he wants to reach Cybertron as well. Unstopped, Soundwave starts to send a message to deep space, but is interrupted when Bomber Bill charges at him with his (intact) truck. Soundwave attacks the human, who is rescued by Huffer, and the victorious Decepticons retreat in the confusion.
Back at the Ark, the Autobots use a telephone security bypass from Blackrock to eavesdrop on conversations in the aerospace plant. They learn that Shockwave is growing suspicious: despite his repeated demands, Optimus has not injected life into Jetfire. And if he can't, then Shockwave will destroy him...

Algunos de los Autobots que aparecen en las escenas finales no son los mismos que Prowl envía para detener a los Constructicons.
