Resumen:
Shockwave attacks G.B. Blackrock's advanced oil-drilling platform, easily cutting through the humans' defenses. In the process, a young computer genius named Josie Beller is severely electrocuted. Shockwave annexes the platform and sends the humans away, then summons the other Decepticons at the Ark to join him. Megatron, disabled, is left behind.
Elsewhere in the Ark, Optimus Prime talks Buster into placing a pair of electrodes on his brow to reach "mindlink." Buster complies, and is zapped with a jolt of electricity. He recovers soon afterwards, then sneaks back outside and informs Ratchet of the situation.
Shockwave returns to the Ark, briefly taunting Megatron about his superior leadership before tending to other matters. Megatron, enraged, breaks free and attacks Shockwave. The two fight for leadership in the city; Shockwave eventually wins by hitting Megatron with a water tower, which short-circuits him. Shockwave decides to spare Megatron's life, concluding that to kill a Decepticon when they are short-handed is illogical. They return to the Ark, where all of the Decepticons -- including Megatron -- swear loyalty to Shockwave.
Ratchet ve a Shockwave y dice que lo último que sabía es que seguía en Cybertron, pero es falso ya que es el propio Ratchet el que descubre la grabación de Shockwave en la Antártida y envía una sonda para investigar.
